Testimonials

In the begining of the summer of 2011, I had no idea where or if  I was going to play college baseball, and for a well rounded player that breathes baseball, that's the scariest feeling in the world. But when I started playing for Puff I knew he was going to do anything and everything in his power to find me a good place to play, and sure enough he did. I can honestly say that I owe him my life as a player, and I suggest to anyone that wants to play in college and wants more then the average lifestyle then put your trust in Aaron Puffer like I did and I swear he won't let you down.

Recently a friend asked me if I thought my son would be playing baseball at the college level without the help of Houston Hurricanes Head Coach Aaron Puffer. My answer was simple; “He would not be playing where he wanted to play”.

Coach Puffer brought the exposure to my son. We did not go trekking all over the United States......... SCOUTS CAME TO US. “Puff” educated our son on making the right decision for HIS future. WE DID OUR PART (no guarantees)  so “Puff” could do his part.

Recently our son was asked what his most memorable vacation was; he quickly replied “College World Series Finals in Omaha Nebraska”…….. Hurricane style!

The privilege of your name on a Hurricane Roster comes with the benefit of knowing your son is being coached by someone who not only has the professional baseball credentials; but also has college degrees in sports medicine & personal training. There is no time more important for your son to be in top physical health. I will not trust my sons dream to just anyone.

Andrew has played with Coach Puffer for 4 years and is looking forward to being a member of the Hurricanes organization again for the 2011 summer season. Puff’s ability to relate to the young men on his team, combined with his extensive knowledge and experience as a player and coach, creates an atmosphere of learning as well as fun.

Coach Puffer’s goal is to prepare his players for college baseball and beyond.  Puff provides workout regimens, college recruiting information, and organizes showcases, bringing coaches here from all over Texas and the U.S. to scout his players. He is a tremendous advocate for his players and will do his utmost to make sure each team member plays baseball at a college of his choice. Puff stresses the importance of hard work on the field and in the classroom and he shows a passion toward the players who show a passion for the game.
This fall, Andrew will be attending and playing baseball for Trinity University in San Antonio. He will take with him the confidence and knowledge that Puff, his assistants, and guest coaches have instilled in him over the years. The time Andrew has spent with the Hurricanes is irreplaceable and we feel so fortunate to have found Coach Puffer and his organization.

I have played for or have been involved with many of the local Houston area select baseball programs.  All of these programs promise to put you in a situation where a college or Pro scout may observe your play.  The Houston Hurricanes baseball program run by Coach Aaron Puffer has a very different approach to showcasing his players to scouts.  Coach Puffer actually recruits the scouts and colleges to come to his tournaments. By insuring their participation he foots the financial burden for travel and lodging by putting the scouts up in hotels and flying them into town, and even drives them to the ball park.  Furthermore Coach Puffer is not afraid to contact any school or coach on the player’s behalf, which he does all the time.   I cannot recommend a better baseball program or coach than Aaron Puffer and the Houston Hurricanes.

Blake will attending University of Evansville in the fall of 2011 and playing baseball for the Purple Aces.  The Aces play in the Missouri Valley Conference which is one of the better baseball conferences in the country.  It is also a great academic school and is a really good fit for Blake.

Without Coach Puffer's assistance Blake would not be going to UofE.  Coach Puffer also gave very sound advice on a number of things including what type of school Blake should look at based upon both his academic and baseball acheivments.  As a parent I can't thank Aaron enough.  When I called Aaron about Blake and told him about Blake's situation he took time laying out the college baseball landscape to me and provided an honest, analytical opiniion.  Through Coach Puffer's numerous contacts he was able to get an almost instantaiously feedback from the coaches at UofE.  I was amazed at how Coach Puffer brought clarity to a very confusing process.  Anyone that has gone through the college recruiting process will agree that it is extremely trying and difficult.  There are so many issues to consider.  Coach Puffer moved quickly and before we knew it Blake was at UofE for an official visit.  It was very clear to me that this was not Coach Puffer's first rodeo!

It is with deep gratitude that I give this testamonial for what Coach Puffer has done for my son and what he is trying to do with his program to help many other young men.  I know Blake and my family are very grateful to Coach Puffer!

Thanks again Coach!

Coach Puffer, I'd like to take a few minutes to thank you for the great job you do.  My son, Marc was able to play for you two seasons and those were the best ever.  Not only did he learn from you, but he respected you for all of your honesty. You were able to bring out the best of him, and he will always appreciate that.  Being able to play for you also helped him get to continue his dream of playing baseball at the college level and the opportunity to receive an education.  I wish there were more Coaches like you that do this for the Love of the Game, and the Love of the Kids.  I wish you and your organization continued success.

Thank you,
Carl Martinez,  Austin, Texas
